Working Groups
  • The Integrated Operations, ICT & Smart Collaboration for Offshore & Remote Real-time Environment (ICT/IO Scorre) works actively with PETRONAS and industry to promote integrated operations in the Malaysia Oil and Gas Industry. The integrated operations agenda will promote cost reduction through more effective and efficient operations.

     

  • The Competency & Training Working Group (CTWG) with a vision to make Malaysia the regional learning, education and training hub for the Oil and Gas Industry. Actively supports the national aspiration to develop, upgrade the competency skills and capabilities of personnel in the Oil and Gas Industry in Malaysia. Regular engagement by the Human Resource Ministry and after having identified MOGSC the leading body for the Oil and Gas Industry. Conducts regular training sessions for MOGSC members.

     

  • The Asset Integrity Management Working Group (AIMWG) promotes the development of Asset Integrity Management in the Oil and Gas Industry towards maximizing returns on facilities/assets while maintaining stakeholder value and minimizing business risks.

     

  • The Subsurface & Drilling Working Group (SDWG) promotes the agenda to establish Malaysia as a centre of excellence for drilling and subsurface products, services and expertise. The Working Group promotes and encourages more Malaysian participation in this sector.

     

  • The Malaysia-Korea Offshore Council (MKOC) promotes collaboration between Malaysian and Korean businesses in the Malaysian Oil and Gas Industry. It also encourages Malaysian-Korean venture companies to pursue business opportunities in Korea and other countries.

     

  • The Engineering Working Group (EWG) brings together the engineering consultants, designers and other engineering related services to promote Malaysia as an engineering hub for the regional Oil and Gas Industry. This Working Group seeks to strengthen and promote Malaysia's engineering capabilities.

     

  • The Project Management Working Group (PMWG) seeks to promote the best practices in project management of the local Oil and Gas Industry. It aims to improve efficiency and diligence in managing projects.

     

  • The Measurement and Allocation Working Group (MAWG) seeks to promote the engineering excellence in all areas of Measurement and Allocation, sharing best industrial practices, applying lessons learnt and providing integrated recommendations to the Malaysian Upstream Oil and Gas Industry.

     

  • The Malaysia-Canada Oil and Gas Council (MCOGC) promotes collaboration between Malaysian and Canadian businesses in the Malaysian Oil and Gas Industry. It also encourages Malaysian-Canadian venture companies to pursue business opportunities in Canada and other countries.

     

  • The Health, Safety and Environment Working Group (HSEWG) aims to make the Malaysian Oil and Gas Industry the leading practitioner of HSE working practices. This Working Group collaborates with all industry stakeholders through engagements at various levels to promote the HSE working environment for the Oil and Gas Industry.

     

  • The Marine and Logistics Working Group (MLWG) promotes the capabilities of the Malaysian companies in the Oil and Gas Industry to establish Malaysia as a regional logistic hub.

     

  • The Johor Working Group (JWG) serves as a platform for the Johor industry players to collaborate and discuss issues related to Johor. This Chapter engages with Johor based Oil and Gas Industry stakeholders.

     

  • The Corporate Social Responsibility Working Group (CSRWG) aims to facilitate CSR activities/initiatives amongst MOGSC members to benefit the Oil and Gas community and the nation as well.

     

  • The Sarawak Working Group (SWG) serves as a platform for the Sarawak industry players to collaborate and discuss issues related to Sarawak. This Chapter engages with the Sarawak Oil and Gas Industry stakeholders.

     

  • The Manufacturers and Fabricators Working Group (MFWG) promotes activities to establish Malaysia as a manufacturing and fabrication hub for the Oil and Gas Industry in the ASEAN region. The Working Group seeks to create awareness of Malaysian capabilities and resources to encourage international equipment manufacturers and fabricators to base in Malaysia and exchange ways and route to pursue global markets outside of Malaysia. The Working Group brings fabricators and equipments manufacturers together through technology and educational programs, workshops, seminars and networking events.

     

  • The Small, Medium Enterprise Working Group (SMEWG) serves to represent a consortium of SMEs in promoting their combined capability and competency to the Oil and Gas majors. These SMEs represent Tier 2 and Tier 3 local companies.

     

  • The Austrade-MOGSC Working Group (OzMOG) promotes collaboration between both Malaysian and Australian businesses in the Malaysian Oil and Gas Industry. It also encourage Malaysian Australian companies' ventures to further pursue business opportunities in Australia and other countries.

     

  • The Technology and Innovation Working Group (T&IWG) act as a platform for new innovation and technology development along with its promotion in the Malaysian Oil and Gas Industry.

     

  • The Decommissioning Working Group (DecomWG) acts as a platform for decommissioning activities in the region.

     

  • The Malaysia-Iran Oil and Gas Business Council (My-IBC) promotes collaboration between both Malaysian and Iran businesses in the Malaysian Oil and Gas Industry. It also encourage Malaysian Iran companies' ventures to further pursue business opportunities in Iran and other countries.
